We have been working on this for a while and it has gone through a number of iterations and design changes. Big thanks to a dedicated group of testers who continue to provide fantastic feedback on how it plays, the game mode they would love and overall performance. Plus the competitiveness and trash talking has gotten to a whole new level.

These targets will be making appearances at FPS Airsoft Club, so feel free to stop by and test your skills.

Here is a recent video of some initial manual testing of the new sensor inserts (thanks Ben), new CAT6 cabling and updated software code. This was shot in slow motion to identify a bug in skipped targets. The code has since been updated adjusting the power decay time (tech nerds will love this idea) to resolve the issue.

Our 2024 system has been set aside, so the reigning champion keeps his title. Will had an impressive and unmatched Speed Round with 20 out of 20 targets and an average 0.49 seconds per target.

The 2025 version has a wider spacing resulting in slightly longer average reaction times.

Lots has changed over the last few years. Our home field Red Devils Airsoft is not longer open but we have found an amazing new home at FPS Airsoft. We have been working with them to build some really cool devices (at least we like to think they are) and enhance some the fun game modes that they run. Ottawa Airsoft’s focus has shifted from reviews and gameplay to airsoft device prototyping, building, and coding.

As we roll into the 2025 Airsoft Season, we look forward to updating the site and sharing some more of what we have been up to with behind the scenes photos of cool items on our workbench.

Sometimes in airsoft you get one of those once in a lifetime opportunities. Hanging out the side of a helicopter raining bbs down on players trying to take a building was one of the cool experiences we got a chance to have during 2023 at GOTA vs the World held at PRZ in Picton, Ontario.

We’ve always had a great relationship with FighterSystems. Danny has been a longtime supporter of our Area of Operations and Encounters Events through generous raffle prize donations, his onsite popup store and BOA team attendance.

In 2020 they announced the launch of their new online store and teased at their new and bigger retail location. I tried, but he won’t share the address until the Airsoft Expo but I can share the link to their new online store.
